as members of the Executive Committee. The Governor is appointed by the Queen and the Chief Executive and Financial
Secretary are ex officio members and are elected by the Legislative Council. Its form of government is an Overseas
Territory of The United Kingdom but it is also claimed by Argentina and they celebrate the creation of their constitution
on 3rd of October 1985. Governor Nigel Haywood is also the High Commissioner of the uninhabited South Georgia and
the South Sandwich Islands.
