Kingdom of Tonga is located in the west of the Oceania Continent, with a population of 122,580, making it the 188th
largest national population. Its capital and largest city is
Nuku'alofa with a total population of 34,311. The country
encompasses 748 square kilometers making it the 185th largest country in total area. It shares boundaries with The South
Pacific Ocean.

King George Tupou V is recognized as the Chief of State and achieves that status through heredity and holds that position
for life or abdication. The Heir Presumptive is Prince 'Aho'eitu 'Unuaki'otonga Tuku'aho, his brother, as the King has no
legitimate children. Prime Minister Dr. Feleti Sevele is recognized as the Head of Government and, along with Deputy Prime
Minister Dr. Viliami Tangi, achieves that status through appointment by the Monarch and holds that position at the pleasure
of the Monarch. Its form of government is a constitutional monarchy and they celebrate the creation of their constitution
on 4 November 1885.

The languages commonly or officially spoken are Tongan and English. It counts among its major religions Christian. As
sources of mass communication it has 1 AM, 4 FM, 1 Short Wave and 3 Television stations.

Major geographical features are an unnamed location on Kao Island, its highest point at 1,033 meters and the Pacific Ocean,
its lowest point at 0 meters. Its principal waterway is South Pacific Ocean, which measures 419 kilometers of Coastline.

Major industries providing for the bulk of their Gross Domestic Product (GDP) are tourism and fishing. Its official
currency is the Tongan Pa’anga.

Here’s something you may not know about Tonga. Tonga - unique among Pacific nations - never completely lost its
indigenous governance and is the only monarchy left in the Pacific.

Tonga may seem little but is has about 170 islands almost all but 14 are uninhabited. I would really
like to go so I can see; the blowholes, all of their volcanic islands, visit their capital which is just as
pretty as it can be, meet all the people, eat food and do the Abi Everywhere show. Could you visit
them and take photos so there is more to search for? Oh, and see all the Humpback whales, please.
