Kingdom of Spain is located in the southwest of the European Continent, with a population of 40,525,002, making it the
30th largest national population. Its capital and largest city is
Madrid with a total population of 3,213,271. The country
encompasses 504,782 square kilometers making it the 51st largest country in total area. It shares boundaries with France,
Andorra, The Mediterranean Sea, Gibraltar and Portugal.

King Juan Carlos I is recognized as the Chief of State and, along with Heir Apparent Prince Felipe, achieves that status
through heredity and holds that position for life or abdication. President of the Government Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero is
recognized as the Head of Government and, along with First Vice President and Minister of the Presidency Maria Teresa
Fernandez de la Vega and Second Vice President and Minister of Economy and Finance Elena Salgado Mendez and Third
Vice President (and Minister of Regional Affairs) Manuel Chaves Gonzalez achieves that status when the leader of the
majority party or the leader of the majority coalition is proposed president by the Monarch and elected by the National
Assembly and holds that position so long as the majority is held. Its form of government is a parliamentary monarchy and
they celebrate the creation of their constitution on 6th of December 1978.

The languages commonly or officially spoken are Castillian Spanish, Catalan, Galician and Basque. It counts among its
major religions Roman Catholic and other faiths. As sources of mass communication it has 207 AM, 715 FM, 1 Short
Wave and 224 Television stations.

Major geographical features are Pico de Teide (Tenerife) on the Canary Islands, its highest point at 3,718 meters and
Atlantic Ocean, its lowest point at 0 meters. Its principal waterway is Douro River, which measures about 1,000 kilometers.

Major industries providing for the bulk of their Gross Domestic Product (GDP) are textiles and apparel, food and
beverages, metals and metal manufactures, chemicals, shipbuilding, automobiles, machine tools, tourism, clay and
refractory products, footwear, pharmaceuticals and medical equipment. Its official currency is Euro.

Spain is big, I mean, very big! I  really, really want to go to Spain but I would like to compact the following into at
least one day or two to see; (1) Breathtaking Balearic Island (2) Castillo de Santa Catalina (3) Huge kind
-of-spooky- looking Guadiana Cathedral (4) meet the kids and actually BE ABLE to understand them and speck
correctly by then (5) Madrid (6) sail on the Queen Anne's Revenge our future miniature sailing ship on the
Douro River (and we will have cannons and al)l (7) do my show and (8) help fight AIDS. Could you visit them
and help fight AIDS Please?
